Watercolors
Nan studied art at the University of Minnesota and at Southwest State University. She took additional classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Worthington Community College, in addition to numerous workshops. After many years of experimenting with photography, pencil and charcoal drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, she began to focus on the tinted linoleum block prints in 1993. She has continued to work with block prints primarily ever since. Kaufenberg's work has received awards at the Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! in Willmar, Springfield Area Art Show, Nobles County Area Art Show, Annual Juried Art Exhibition in New Ulm, and the Rock County Fair Art Show in Luverne. Her work exhibited at Springfield, MN State Arts Board Gallery, Nobles County Art Center, Carnegie Cultural Center in Luverne, Minneapolis Institute of Art, and in Granite Falls, New Ulm, Grand Marais, and Luverne.
